Lima

The
beginning of our tour takes us to Lima, known as the
"City
of Kings" and said to have been once the most beautiful
city in
South America. Much of this is still evident in the colonial
splendour of private mansions such as the Casa Aliaga, well
preserved and inhabited by the same family since the year 1535.
The lovely Cathedral, situated on the busy Plaza de Armas, is
said to be the burying place of Francisco Pizarro, the conqueror
of the Incas in the 16th century.
